Description

The Lau lab at Brandeis University are recruiting a joint-postdoctoral position in Computational Biology of RNA-centric gene regulation . We are looking for a candidate with a PhD and prior bioinformatics experience, particulary in analysis of deep-sequencing and gene expression data. The position entails interfacing with molecular biologists in analyzing large datasets from small RNA, RNA-Seq , ChIP-Seq, and polysome profiling libraries as well as other cutting edge techniques employing Illumina deep-sequencing technology. This position also offers ample opportunity for a computationalist to gain practical wet-lab experience in the expanding realms of molecular biology. Candidates should have a PhD degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biophysics, Biochemistry, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Programming skills and experience with high-throughput genomic data are highly desirable. Excellent communications skills and the ability to work on a variety of projects are essential.
